YCCC the long room

Yorkshire County Cricket Club is a long-standing client of Design Tonic. They put us in to at recently on a large, prestigious project – completely transforming The Long Room into a highly desirable banqueting suite. Our designers completely bowled them over.

The brief involved achieving a difficult balance. We were tasked with modernising the room whilst respecting and accommodating the rich heritage of the club and the room’s usage.

We met with the client to discuss their vision and our ideas for this most challenging of interior design commercial projects. We created a modern space that embraced the club’s long, illustrious history.

Whatever materials and finishes we used had to not only be aesthetically right, they had to withstand the test of time and heavy usage. A hardwearing tiled bar floor contrasts with a luxurious carpeted lounge area.

Strong “The Long Room” branding across the bar facia stands out from a bold geometric tiled back wall. Deep emerald green walls and pillars are offset by charcoal, tangerine, navy and mint soft furnishings.
